The sun is always shining and the sea is always deep blue

The weather in Mersin is sunny for 300 days a year. The sea is always blue and seems to be in competition with the green of the land.

If you’ll permit the paraphrasing of Admiral Andrea Doria’s above-mentioned statement, we could say that Mersin has three seasons: spring (ilkyaz or first summer as a Turkish saying goes), summer and end of summer!
